The Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development of Nigeria Mr Nebeolisa Anako, graced the opening ceremony of the AUSC Region 2 Workshop and Seminar which began yesterday 27th September 2021. In his welcome remarks, he commended the Guests and Participants who honored the invitation and were present at the Workshop and Seminar at a time when lockdowns due to the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are gradually relaxing, and the fight against the pandemic is still intensified.
He acknowledged the presence of the Nigeria Center for Diseases Control (NCDC) who were fully involved in the Planning and Delivery of the Workshop.

As the process of reopening the Youth and Sports programmes make steady progress, Mr Anako stated that one of the objectives of this Workshop and Seminar is to Train – the – Trainers in the Youth, Sports and Recreation Sectors to acquire Covid-19 Education so as to deliver their programs effectively in line with the required protocols during and after Covid-19 era.
” Discussions and Presentations during the Sessions will cut across other related disciplines to open other frontiers for participants to learn and blend experiences and deliver predetermined results during challenging moments, like what the World is facing today.
To this end, participants and guests invited cut across all facets of Human Endeavor that are inter-related with Youths and Sports Development,” he concluded.
